Jaguar Rescue, Sloth Sanctuary & Punta Uva Beach
Overview
This trip combines three activities: a visit to the Jaguar Rescue Center, a visit to the Sloth Sanctuary and a visit to Punta Uvas sightseeing point.
We will start our morning visiting the Sloth Sanctuary located around a 45 minute drive from the Manzanillo Eco Lodge. Here you will see the efforts being made to protect and promote one of Costa Rican most favorite animals, the Sloth!
Get educated on the two different types of sloths and the amazing animal they are. Di you know that sloths have a micro-environment on their bodies! Did you know the sloths live for months at a time in the exact same tree! Learn these fun facts and more during your visit to the Sloth Sanctuary.
We will stop after the sanctuary at the Punta Uva beach and viewpoint where you will enjoy your prepared lunch from the lodge. Sit back, relax and soak i the natural beauty of Costa Rica and spend some quality time with your group.
Our next stop is the Jaguar Rescue Center. Here at the center they rehabilitate mistreated, injured and/or confiscated animals, which are then reintroduced to their natural habitat in protected areas. Visitors have direct contact with monkeys, wild cats, sloths, raccoons, anteaters, marsupials, reptiles, amphibians, etc.
