LOCAL WILDLIFE

Abundant Wildlife!

The Manzanillo Eco Lodge sits inside the boundaries of the Gondoca Wildlife Preserve giving all of our guest direct daily encounters from an unlimited supply of wildlife.

Many of our tours will take you off site for activities but while a guest of the lodge you will be in direct contact with the preserves wildlife.  You will awaken each morning to the sound of Howler Monkeys calling in their group.  You will be visited by hundreds of different bird species daily.  Sloths are always near by and are visible from the many paths around the lodge.  Marvel at the enormous amount of large colorful butterflies bouncing their way through the jungle.

Being a lodge guest you will receive a bracelet that allows you access to the lodge and the Gondoca Wildlife Preserve at all times of day.  The preserve closes at 4:00PM each day and does not reopen again till 8:00 AM giving all of our guests an intimate private setting in which to experience the jungle and its residents.
